The guys behind the awesome end credit music on Splinter, After Midnight Project, or AMP as they are known to their fans launched their debut album “Let’s Build Something to Break” a little while back. It’s gaining traction on the rock/metal scene, and you can listen and download tracks right here:

Indie band Alice Rose, from Austin, TX were kind enough to let us use one of their songs in Splinter. They have recently had their album added to Amazon.com’s MP3 download system so you can sample and buy the album, or individual tracks, whatever takes your fancy. The song used in Splinter is called “West”. Check it out right here:
They have a really great and unique sound, and are super nice people. So help them out, spread the word, and give ‘em a listen. Check their MySpace page for gig dates and other news: www.myspace.com/thealicerose
As well as a great score by Elia Cmiral (Pulse, Stigmata), Splinter features an awesome track from Austin based indie rockers The Alice Rose. Here’s what they had to say about their involvement in Splinter:
“Hello Splinter family, this is Sean from The Alice Rose. I’ve just finished watching Splinter here in Austin, Tx. on the advanced screening option on Time Warner Cable. I’m a huge horror fan and was very excited that our song West was chosen to be in the movie. After watching it I had to write and say how honored we are to have our song in such a great horror movie. It’s been too long since a film like this has come along and I can’t tell you how happy I am to be a part of it. We’re doing our best to spread the word. Thanks again. Take care.”
You can listen to the featured track West, and other music from The Alice Rose on their MySpace Page. It’s great to have them in the movie, check them out.

The pre-dub sound mixing started on “The Grudge 3” yesterday, and while I would love to have been there for day one… I still had VFX shots to finish at home. So day two is here, and so am I.
Sabi, our music editor just handed over all the score elements from our composer Sean McMahon, and all the pieces are now in place to make this mix sing.
I’m really looking forward to hearing what the guys at Anarchy have been working on.
