John August Blogs About Splinter

While at the Austin Film Festival & Conference last week I had the chance to chat with writer/director John August about the ins and outs of indie distribution in the brave new age of day-and-date multi-platform releases. 

Apparently I wasn’t the only filmmaker at the fest. who had read John’s insightful analysis of the release of his own film The Nines, and it seems that a number of us cornered him with stories of our own.
