Directing me some Teen Wolf!

I arrived in Atlanta yesterday to start prep on a block of episodes for MTV’s upcoming series Teen Wolf. I have to say, so far Georgia and its people are amazing. The first thing that struck me was how green the area is, mile after mile of lush forests of evergreen, sprinkled with occasional flashes of the red-orange colors of fall. Lovely.

Eager to soak up the Teen Wolf spirit, I decided to forgo checking in to my accommodations, and headed straight to set from the airport last night where shooting was well underway on the first few episodes of the series, with director and executive producer Russell Mulcahy at the helm. I was blown away!

It was great to finally meet some of the cast and crew, and really start to wrap my head around the whole shebang. As I sat watching the monitors with the gang from MTV, seeing what this amazing team was pulling off, I started to get the itchy feeling I always get on set, like I have too much energy to sit still, the excitement that drives any of us to take on this crazy job was welling up inside me. It breathes new life into me like nothing else. Guys, seriously, the stunt work I saw last night far outshines anything I’ve done in any of my movies to date, and I’m super excited to finally get to play with the big guns.

There’s a long road ahead, and I’m really stoked to be working with such an amazingly talented and fun group of people, on a show that by all accounts looks like it’s going to be amazing!
