Respected London newspaper the Daily Telegraph reviewed the recent DVD release of Splinter in their April 4th issue.
They gave the film 4 stars, and ended with one of the highest compliments I can imagine for a movie that I made as an homage to The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, Alien, Dawn of the Dead, and countless other “siege” type horror/thrillers of that era.
“The actors - particularly the charmingly brainy Costanzo - do a great job figuring out their dilemma and actually making us care. This is a film to watch more than once, an unpretentious piece of work that John Carpenter would have been proud of.” - Tim Robey

London Lite, which I think is a sister paper to the Evening Standard in London (it’s been a while since I was there) gave a little shout out to Splinter in the March 31st issue.

Paul Josesh says: “this quirky indie horror offers a high splatter count and plenty of thrills.”
Nice.

A few days ago I asked the @SplinterFilm followers on Twitter.com to send me a photo of a Splinter DVD on a display shelf in England. As an incentive I promised one lucky fan a signed DVD inlay to swap out for their own, and this is the winning photo. Splinter on the shelf in a branch of HMV. Congratulations @TheShape
Not sure about HMV’s alphabetizing skills though.
